Terms & Conditions



The Geelong Cats may from time to time where reasonably necessary vary the terms and conditions of Geelong Cats Membership. The Geelong Cats will communicate any change to its membership terms and conditions via the Geelong Cats membership website, located at Members will have no claim against Geelong Cats by reason of any change made to its membership terms and conditions.

For any changes made to membership accounts during the season, each account will occur a $10 administrative fee. This includes cost of reprinting lost, stolen or damaged membership cards, changes of/to reserve seats and the purchasing of new barcodes.  

*Membership packs are distributed to all 2019 Financial Club Members. Packs can be changed or altered at the discretion of the Club.


By registering your name on the 2019 Inaugural AFLW Guernsey you agree all personal information you provide will be used by the Geelong Cats, in accordance with the AFL & AFL Club’s privacy policy. To view the Geelong Cats privacy policy, visit By providing your personal information, you agree to such use by the Geelong Cats and the AFL. Your name will be presented on a web article for a selected period of time as stated by the Geelong Cats and also will be named on the 2019 Inaugural AFLW Guernsey which will be worn by AFLW players and available for purchase in the Cats Shop.

Access to matches are not guaranteed. Access is subject to capacity and you are encouraged to reserve a seat in order to guarantee entry, particularly at high demand matches. Members will be required to pay additional fees and charges when reserving a seat. Access may be gained to unreserved seating on a first-come, first served basis subject to availability and Members can upgrade to a reserved seat at the venue for an additional fee subject to availability.

Additional fees and charges may apply. Entry is subject to capacity and may not be guaranteed.


Geelong Cats will communicate information relating to the Grand Final to members in late August/early September should we be participating in finals. This will include information in relation to obtaining a Grand Final ticket. This information will be communicated via mail, through email and on the Geelong Cats and AFL websites. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure that their contact information is correct and that they have familiarised themselves with all membership requirements and information.

The following members do not have access to Grand Final ticketing:

  • Full AFL Geelong Club Support members (must purchase tickets through AFL allocation)
  • Social Club Life Members who have not purchased a Geelong Cats membership
  • Members who purchased their membership after 31 August 2018
  • Members who hold a Casual, Digital, Baby Membership or International membership

Those members with Priority Access (Social Club Members and Premiership members with eligible memberships) will be required to follow the appropriate procedures as communicated by Geelong Cats in order to secure their ticket. Members who do not follow the procedure as outlined by Geelong Cats will forfeit their right to access a ticket.


Upon becoming a member you consent to receiving communication and notices from Geelong Cats in any one of the manners noted below. It is the members' obligation to provide and maintain accurate contact details. Members can update details by contacting Geelong Cats, updating details on renewal forms or via MyCats Account. Geelong Cats may also provide additional opportunities to update details via email, SMS or direct mail.

The Geelong Cats will manage and protect personal information in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles in accordance with . From time to time, the Geelong Cats or one of its Corporate Partners may contact you by mail, telephone or by other communication methods including but not limited to email and/or SMS, to provide notices as required or information that Geelong Cats believes may be relevant to you. To update or edit your communication preferences log into your MyCATS Account to subscribe/unsubscribe under the edit email preference section.


As a general policy, memberships (including reserved seats and add-on packages) are non-refundable however requests may be considered where reasonable circumstances apply. Such requests must be submitted in writing and addressed to the Membership Manager.

Should the membership be on a payment plan and a request to cancel has been submitted, the club may approve cancellation of future financial deductions and retain monies up until the time of request.

Premiership Membership are not refundable after purchase or if Geelong Cats do not compete in the Grand Final.

Should a full refund or cancellation be approved, a cancellation fee of $20 per membership will apply and be retained by the Club.


Members are required to notify Membership Services in writing via email or letter of any lost or stolen membership and/or reserved seating card. The lost/stolen membership barcode will be cancelled immediately, therefore blocking its use for ground access. Upon notification, a replacement membership card will be issued. A $10 fee applies for lost cards. If the card is stolen and a statutory declaration can be provided, no fee will be charged.


Please note the following conditions apply to Geelong Social Club membership in addition to the general membership guidelines:

  • Geelong Social Club Membership cards (and Geelong Social Club seats) are transferable on a match-by-match basis. However not transferable between names. Junior Geelong Social Club Membership's can not be transferred to Adult Patrons and are not eligible for daily upgrade.  
  • Geelong Social Club membership cards must be displayed at all times on match-days
  • Geelong  Social Club members are not eligible to have a season GMHBA Stadium seat linked to their Geelong Social Club membership. If they wish to hold a GMHBA Stadium season seat they must take out a second Geelong Cats membership
  • Abuse of Geelong Social Club membership privileges against the Geelong Social Club guidelines will lead to the forfeiture of these privileges
  • Geelong Social Club membership does not guarantee access to the Geelong Social Club area or seating within the Geelong Social Club. Access is always subject to capacity and availability and members must follow arrangements as outlined in these guidelines or as communicated by the Club
  • All Geelong Social Club members must hold a valid Geelong Cats membership (excludes Casual, 3-Game, Country, Interstate and Melbourne Memberships)
  • A junior must be aged over 11 years as of 1 January of the relevant year to join the Geelong Social Club.
  • Raffle may or may not be conducted on Home match days within the Geelong  Social Club. The method of draw will be random, to give all an equal chance of winning. If the winner does not come forward within a reasonable amount of time following the announcement of the winning number a redraw must occur. Prizes are RRP values at $500 or less, no permit are required and purchasers details are not required according to the Victoria Commision for Gambling and Liquor Regulation. 

Dining Terms and Conditions

  • If you need to change your booking, please follow the instructions in your confirmation email. Changes on the day may not be accepted.
  • You will receive a confirmation SMS one day before your booking, you must CONFIRM or CANCEL. Failure to reply to SMS will result in your booking being cancelled.
  • Dining reservations will only be held for 10 minutes from time booked. Failure to arrive within 10 minutes of your booking time will result in your reservation being cancelled.
  • Maximum of 8 per table       

Friday Evenings

  • Friday evenings in the Geelong Social Club Room will depend on demand and room availability. Each Friday throughout the AFL Premiership Season. Should the Geelong Social Club Room be reserved for a commercial function, Geelong Cats will endeavour to offer an alternate space.

Please note: Casual Memberships do not include any game entitlements or access to purchase AFL Grand Final tickets should Geelong Cats compete.


To be eligible for Country Membership the member must reside more than 120km by the shortest road route from GMHBA Stadium to their registered place of residence or live interstate from Victoria.
Please note: Entry to the ground for all memberships is subject to capacity.

The membership package does not include access to AFL Grand Final tickets should Geelong Cats compete.

If there is no game in your state, Country Member benefits apply.
Juniors as part of the Family Country membership will receive the same entitlements as a Junior Home Membership



For the purposes of Membership, family consists of two (2) adults and up to four (4) juniors (under the age of 14 years as of 01/01/2018), all residing at the same address.


  • Premiership Members will have priority access to purchase a Grand Final ticket only if Geelong Cats are competing.
  • This does not include the cost of a Grand Final ticket.
  • Premiership Membership is not refundable after purchase or if Geelong Cats do not compete in the Grand Final.
  • Geelong Cats will communicate finals information to members in late August/early September, should Geelong Cats compete. This will include information regarding accessing a Grand Final ticket.
  • Grand Final ticket information may be communicated via mail, email, SMS, Inner Sanctum email and on the Geelong Cats and AFL websites.
  • It is the responsibility of the Premiership Member to ensure that their contact information is correct and complete at all times, and ensure that they have familiarised themselves with this information. The member will be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information provided to Geelong Cats.
  • Premiership Members will be required to follow the appropriate procedures as communicated by Geelong Cats in order to secure their ticket. Members who do not follow the procedures outlined by Geelong Cats will forfeit their right to a Grand Final ticket.
  • Members must hold a current 2018 Geelong Cats Home, Melbourne or Home & Away membership to be eligible for this package.
  • Full AFL Club Support, Country, Interstate, 3-Game and Supporter members are not eligible for this packages.

Membership Vouchers

Membership Vouchers can only be redeemed at the Geelong Cats for Membership & Season Seat purchases.

  • Vouchers can not be redeemed or exchanged for cash
  • Vouchers can only be used on Membership products including, season reserve seat packages
  • Vouchers can be redeemed in person via visiting Membership Services, located in the Charles Brownlow Stand or over the phone, where the voucher number will need to be quoted
  • Any change due will be issued by the way of a gift voucher, unless the amount due is less that $10.00
  • Vouchers are valid for 12 months, from the date of issue
  • The Geelong Cats are not liable for any loss or stolen vouchers

Seating & Ticketing



Every season seat (Geelong and Melbourne based) must be connected to a Geelong Cats (or AFL Geelong Cats Club Support) Membership. Season seating cannot be purchased without a membership.

Geelong Cats reserves the right to increase prices and/or to determine and change the price category of seats at its discretion. Geelong Cats reserves the right to re-configure or change the seating layout and or the bay/stand design in conjunction with Stadium Management as required. Geelong Cats are not obligated to notify or seek approval from seat holders to make changes to seating or surrounding areas.

Stadium seating remains the property of Stadium Management and is made available to Geelong Cats to offer a renewal/lease arrangement to members on a yearly basis for Geelong Cats home games only. Season seat holders do not hold any rights to access their season seat for any other events or games apart from home games as specified by Geelong Cats within the AFL season. 

Full view (100%) of the game and arena is not guaranteed from any category of seating. Any seat classified as Restricted Viewing will be determined by Geelong Cats with any such seat being charged at the Silver or Bronze price category (depending on location) at the Geelong Cats' discretion. Any seat classified as either undercover or underneath a roofline does not guarantee protection from the elements.

Seat holders are required to purchase a membership for every season seat held/renewed. Memberships therefore must be paid for at the time of renewing. Additional memberships are also required for those who hold one or more seats and a Social Club Membership. Geelong Cats reserves the right to amend its policies and terms and conditions as outlined herewith at its sole discretion without prior notification to members.

By renewing (making payment) of season seats in any year, members are agreeing to comply and observe all of the terms for season seating as displayed on the Geelong Cats website located at Each member should review these terms prior to the renewal process.

Geelong Cats do not authorise the on selling of any season seating (or daily seats) or membership under any circumstances. Unauthorised on-selling of tickets and memberships may result in membership/ticket cancellation.

The Club reserves the right to change any member’s allocated reserved seat at GMHBA Stadium, MCG or Etihad Stadium where required by the venue or the AFL, or to accommodate other Members or close gaps within seating bays. Where possible, the Club will endeavour to accommodate any changes within the same seating bay as previously allocated.



Season seating renewals are offered subject to availability and Geelong Cats will endeavour to offer a season seat renewal in each year to those who have held season seats in the previous year. This offer will however, be at the discretion of Geelong Cats and is not guaranteed that Geelong Cats will reserve the right to these seats at all times. Should Geelong Cats not be able to offer a seat renewal, the option of alternative seating may be offered at Geelong Cats' discretion. Renewal notifications for membership and season seats will be sent to the registered address of the member in October/November of each year. It is the responsibility of the member to be diligent in following up on renewal forms which may not have been received and to ensure that Geelong Cats are provided their contact details are correct at all times.


The due by date for seats will be printed on the renewal form, and may vary from year to year. This will generally be mid-December. Members will not receive personal renewal reminders via mail, email or telephone if seats have not been renewed after the due date. Failure to renew season reserved seats by the specified due date in each year will forfeit the member's right of renewal.


The acceptance of any late renewal will be determined solely by Geelong Cats. In such cases where late renewals are offered, late fees may be applicable. Where late renewals are not accepted, members are required to re-apply for seating as a new applicant.


Geelong Cats do not offer a leave of absence for season seating. To retain renewal rights to seating members must purchase both a Club Membership (or AFL membership) and season seat each year.



Season seats can be transferred to another existing or new member provided that the appropriate section on the renewal form has been completed.* Any transfers and appropriate renewal fees must also be paid by the specified due date. Seat transfers will not be accepted after the renewal due date.

*Seat transfers are not available to Geelong Social Club undercover and open seat holders.


Children must be 14 years of age and under as at 1 January in the current membership year to be eligible for junior priced seating. Proof of a date of birth must be supplied for all junior seat applicants.

Children under four (4) years old are not required to have a seat purchased for them. However they must not occupy a seat and will be required to sit on the lap of a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian is responsible for the child at all times whilst in the stadium. The child is not permitted to sit in aisles or run/move around the stadium or surrounding area to the detriment of other attendees. If you wish to purchase a season seat for a child under six (6) years of age and do not wish to purchase a junior membership then a Statutory Declaration must be provided indicating that this child will be the only person utilising the seat.

Any member eligible for or considering a concession membership MUST provide a copy of their concession ID or produce their concession ID at the point of purchase.

  • Department of Health and Community Services
  • Department of Community Services
  • Department of Veteran Affairs (Gold card only with all conditions. White Card Holders who are recognised as a Commonwealth or Allied veteran  are encouraged to enquire for considertation)

*Tertiary Student identification MUST state that the student is full time. If not, the student must provide supporting documentation from the enrolled school proving full time status.
**Documentation is not required if a renewing member is being upgraded from Junior to Concession Youth. The member must advise Geelong Cats of their year level for the current year.


Dependants listed on a pension card are NOT eligible for concession membership unless they hold their own pension card. The person issued the pension card is the only person eligible for a concession membership.


Health Care card holders are NOT eligible



Concession members MUST produce their valid concession card along with their concession membership to gain entry to all stadiums. If the member is no longer eligible for a concession during the football season, the member will be required to upgrade to a full Adult membership.

Members who have purchased an Adult Membership and later obtain a valid concession card may downgrade their membership to a concession prior to the commencement of the Home and Away season. Downgrades are not accepted after the commencement of the Home and Away season. The member must provide the valid concession card and the Adult membership card to Membership Services before a refund of the difference will be issued.

Concession memberships purchased without proof of concession will be accepted however membership cards will NOT be activated until concession identification has been sighted by Membership Services.

Charity Auction – Holiday: Terms and Conditions

Congratulations on your purchase. Please carefully read the following terms and conditions that you agree to as the terms of your purchase.

1. The Accommodation is a private home, donated or provided at a greatly reduced cost for charity auctions and is NOT a resort owned property. Whilst all measures are taken to have suitable dates available, the purchaser must be flexible on their travel dates when selecting the travel period.

2. You have 12 months to travel in from the purchase date, unless future travel dates are specified on the item description.

3. Expiry Period: You have 2 months from the purchase date to activate your voucher via and book your dates for travel. The expiry date is noted on your voucher. As the holiday is subject to availability and your dates are booked in a first in, first served basis, we recommend activating your voucher as early as possible and well within the 2 month expiry (from date of purchase).

4. Please note bookings of holiday dates are final once confirmation has been received from Goodwill Getaways. Unfortunately no further changes can be made once confirmed.

5. Special dates such as school holidays and other popular dates for travel may already be booked.

6. Strictly NO REFUNDS. Holiday Vouchers are however, fully transferrable (same terms and conditions apply) at no cost to the winner.

7. Failure to activate your voucher via within this time period (two calendar months from the date of purchase) will forfeit the voucher without refund and the charity donation component made.

8. Force Majeure. The Holiday Provider is excused from performance and shall not be liable for any delay in delivery or for non-delivery, in whole or in part, caused by the occurrence of any force majeure beyond the control of the Holiday Provider such as, but not limited to fires, civil disobedience, war, riots, rebellions, explosion, flood, storm, acts of God, similar occurrences

9. These Terms and Conditions have been already agreed to by the event organiser. In the event that you the purchaser (winning bidder) refuses to sign, these Terms and Conditions will still stand.

Member Choice

2019 Adult & Concession Members are eligible for a choice or a Member Cap or a Member Scarf.
Eligible Memberships in 2019 for Member Choice are as follows: Home and Away, Home, Melbourne, Country, 3 Game, 3 Game Interstate, Interstate Premium, Non Access Australia, Digital Australia. All other Membership will be already alocated their Member products.
Member Choice must be communicated at time of purchase either over the phone, in person or via your renewal invoice. If purchasing online you will recieve a eDM prompting you to make your choice within 14 business days of purchase.
You will receive only one form of communication prompting you to make your choice. You then will have 6 business days to make your choice via the online platform, if you fail to do so you will automatically be issued a 2019 Member Scarf.

  • Due to match day time restrictions we kindly ask that all bookings adhere to a one hour time limit. If you are more than 10 minutes late,we cannot guarantee your table will be held for you

Schedule for the Geelong Cats 2018 Raffle.

Raffle Name

2018 Cats Raffle – “Lap Up The Luxury”

Promoter & Benefiting Organisation

The 2018 Cats Raffle will be conducted by the Geelong Football Club Limited (ABN 67 005 150 818) of GMHBA Stadium, Kardinia Park, La Trobe Terrace, Geelong, Victoria, 3220 (“GFC”), via its nominee, the Chief Financial Officer of GFC.  The GFC is a not-for-profit organisation.

Entry Period

Raffle sales commence on 2 April 2018 at 6:00AM (AEDT).

Raffle sales close on 14 September 2018 at 5:00PM (AEST). 

No entries will be accepted after this time.

Entry Restrictions

Entry is open to residents of the Relevant States aged 18 years or older at the commencement of the Entry Period. 

For clarity, entrants do not have to be a registered member of the Geelong Football Club in order to be eligible to enter this Raffle.

Please note residents from WA and NT are excluded from participating in this Raffle.


Raffle Ticket Details

A total of 70,000 tickets will be available for sale. 

The allocation of the pool of 70,000 tickets will be made up of; 30,000 paper tickets being available for sale in Victoria only, and 40,000 tickets being sold online to all the Relevant States (including Victoria).

Please note: regardless of the method of sale of a Raffle ticket (in paper or online sales), all tickets that have been sold during the Entry Period will be placed into the same barrel for the prize draws to take place.  For the purposes of the draw, individual ticket numbers will be printed on the same sized paper as the stub for paper tickets sold in Victoria.  This is to maintain the integrity of the draw. 

How to purchase tickets – all Relevant States:

Eligible entrants may purchase raffle tickets online via the Website.


How to purchase tickets – Victorian residents only:

Eligible entrants who are residents of Victoria may purchase raffle tickets via one of the following methods:

(a)           online via the Website; or

(b)           by a GFC member distribution through mail. 

Entrants must complete in full their contact details at the time of purchase of their raffle ticket in order for their entry to be eligible.  If an entrant purchases an entire book of raffle tickets, the entrant must complete (in full) the raffle ticket stub for every ticket within that raffle ticket book.

In order for entries to be eligible, books of raffle tickets containing sold and unsold ticket stubs, completed payment form (providing contact details, number of tickets sold and payment details if applicable) and accompanying payment must be returned by the closing date to:

Payment can be made by enclosing a cheque or money order payable to the Promoter or by providing credit card payment details on the payment form.

If a book purchaser returns the book(s) of raffle tickets with accompanying payment after the closing date, those who purchased tickets in the book(s) will be notified and provided with the option of having the payment returned or donated to the Promoter.

Maximum number of entries:

There is no limit on the number of tickets that may be purchased per person, subject to ticket availability.

Ticket prices:

Eligible entrants may purchase Raffle tickets individually for $5.00 each, or as a bundle of ten (10) tickets (in one transaction) for $50.00.   

Raffle Procedure

During the Entry Period; to Enter;

  1. Eligible entrants must purchase Raffle tickets online via the Website, or alternatively Victorian residents may additionally elect to purchase a paper ticket (see Raffle Ticket Details for more information).
  2. Entrants must complete the entry form (online or on the paper ticket), in full at the time of purchase in order for their entry to be valid (including a valid email address).  For all online sales the Promoter will email to the entrant their Raffle ticket number(s) together with their receipt of purchase.

The Promoter will conduct a Prize Draw of all the Raffle Tickets sold during the Entry Period, in accordance with the Draw Details, to determine the Prize Winners.

The Promoter will hold a Prize Draw on 19 September 2018 at 3:00PM (AEST) at GMHBA Stadium, Kardinia Park, La Trobe Terrace, Geelong, VIC, 3220.  The Prize Draw will determine the Prize Winners from all the raffle tickets purchased during the Entry Period.  

Draw Method:  the Prize Draw will be conducted via a random manual barrel draw of all eligible entrants to determine Winners(s).  Numbered ticket stubs will be manually drawn at random from a barrel.  First prize will be drawn initially, followed by all other prizes in descending order.  A ticket stub which has been drawn is not eligible to be drawn again.  A complete list of the prizes is available below and on the Website.

The Prize Draw will be conducted in the presence of representatives of the Promoter, together with an independent witness acting as a scrutiniser who is not associated with the management or conduct of the Raffle or the benefitting organisation in any way.



Prizes are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by each Prize Provider.  See Additional Information – Prizes for limitations and information on all Prizes.  Prize winners’ details may be provided to a Prize Provider for the purposes of prize fulfilment. Prize values are accurate as at the commencement of the Raffle Period, and the Promoter accepts no responsibility for changes in prize values after that date.

The vehicle will be a Ford Mustang GT Fastback, with a 5.0 litre V8 engine with 6 Speed Automatic Transmission in Ingot Silver prestige paint colour valued at $64,406 (Ford’s recommended driveaway offer price $64,406 includes 12 months’ registration, 12 months’ compulsory third party insurance, stamp duty and dealer delivery charges applicable to the state of Victoria). Additional insurance, options, fuel and all other ancillary costs associated with the prize and its use are the responsibility of the winner.

The winner must collect their prize from a Ford dealership closest to the winner’s place of residence in Australia. The location of dealership will be notified to the winner in writing within 5 business days of the raffle drawn. If the winner is unable to collect the car from the specified dealer, they will need to make their own delivery arrangements with the dealer at their own cost. The date of prize collection is subject to availability of the vehicle, but is anticipated to be within ninety (90) days from the date of winner notification. Any costs incurred in collection of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

The vehicle details as stated in these terms and conditions are not negotiable. No additional features or upgrade of the vehicle will be undertaken by GFC or Ford.


Major Prize B:  “$5,000 Travel Voucher”

Value is $5,000 (RRP).  The Prize Provider is Geelong Travel (ABN 81 006 062 568).  One (1) $5,000 “Geelong Travel” voucher with Geelong Travel.  Voucher must be used in one (1) transaction, and the winner has twelve (12) months to use the Voucher from the Raffle draw date.  Voucher is not transferrable or redeemable for cash.   Please note: the Prize may require booking and completing as specified by the Prize Provider or by the terms on the voucher.  All costs associated with a travel prize which are not expressly listed, including passport and visa costs, transfer costs, meals, taxes, insurance, luggage costs and all other ancillary costs, are the responsibility of the winner.

Major Prize D: “VIP event package 2018 Carji Greeves Medal”

Value is $1,500 (RRP). The Prize Provider is GFC.  The prize is a Double Pass to the 2018 Carji Greeves Medal event, plus one (1) night accommodation (standard room, twin share), at Crown Towers.  Prize is for two (2) people, both must be at least 18 years of age.  Event is to be held on Thursday 4 October 2018, times to be confirmed. Location will be at Crown Towers, Southbank, Melbourne, Victoria.  The prize winner and their guest must carry valid photo identification with them at all times during the event. If alcohol is made available as part of the prize at the event, then this will be provided subject to the principles of responsible service of alcohol as exercised by the staff and management of the premises at which the event takes place. The premises staff and management reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol to any prize winner or their accompanying guest should they be deemed to be intoxicated.  The event organisers and prize suppliers may (in their absolute discretion) change or amend the date of the event without notice. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the cancellation, rescheduling, change or delay of the event by the event organizers or prize suppliers

Duffs voucher to the value of $250:  The voucher is valid until the expiry date specified on the voucher or by the provider, and is subject to any terms and conditions imposed by the provider.  Once issued, the Promoter is not liable for any voucher that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way once awarded.

Notification, Verification and Delivery 

Winners will be notified by telephone within 2 business days of the Draw, following which notification will also be provided in writing.

Entrants must retain their original Raffle ticket(s) specifying the unique ticket number for verification purposes.  Failure to produce the Raffle ticket when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of the entry and forfeiture of any right to a prize.  If requested by the Promoter, eligible entrants must produce proof of age and residency prior to being awarded a Prize.

If a winner (other than the Major Prize A winner) complies with these Terms and Conditions, and the Promoter verifies and accepts their entry in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter will deliver the prize (to the address provided by the entrant at the time of entry or via the notification and verification process) within 28 days of the prize being awarded.

Prize Claim Date

Unclaimed Prize Arrangements

If a prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date, the Promoter may sell that prize (subject to regulatory approval).  Proceeds from such sale will be paid to the Promoter to be used for its not-for-profit activities. 

If a Prize that has been won by an ACT or SA entrant remains unclaimed for 3 months after the draw date a redraw will be held.  If the redraw winner does not claim their Prize within 12 months from the date they are notified in which to claim their prize, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize.

If a Prize that has been won by a Victorian or Tasmanian entrant remains unclaimed 12 months after the draw, the Promoter will sell or otherwise dispose of the Prize and pay the proceeds (bar the deduction of reasonable costs associated with the sale or disposal) to the Treasurer for payment into the Consolidated Fund.


Terms and Conditions of Entry for the Geelong Football Club 2018 Raffle

  1. The Geelong Football Club 2018 Raffle will be conducted by the Geelong Football Club Limited (ABN 67 005 150 818) of GMHBA Stadium, Kardinia Park, La Trobe Terrace, Geelong, Victoria, 3220 (“GFC”), via its nominee, the Chief Financial Officer of GFC.  The GFC is a not-for-profit organisation. 
  2. These terms and the Schedule form the Conditions of Entry for this Raffle, and set out all the information you need to know regarding this Raffle.  Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Schedule, unless otherwise stated.  If there’s any inconsistency between these terms and the Schedule, then what’s in the Schedule is correct.  By submitting your entry, you agree that these Conditions of Entry apply to your entry. 
  3. Any updates to these Conditions of Entry will be subject to regulatory approval, and will be published on the Website, so it’s important to check these Conditions of Entry regularly. 
  4. All decisions made by the GFC regarding any aspect of the Raffle are final, and no correspondence will be entered into (subject to the direction of any regulatory authority).  


  1. The eligibility requirements for this Raffle are set out in the Entry Restrictions.  Directors, management, employees, officers, (and their immediate families) of the Promoter are ineligible to enter.  “Immediate families” means spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), whether or not they live in the same household as the director, manger, employee, or officer.
  2. To enter, entrants must follow the Raffle Entry Procedure.  The GFC will not accept entries, which are incomplete, illegible.
  3. It is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the GFC if their contact details change during the Entry Period.
  4. The GFC reserves the right to disqualify an entry in the event of non-compliance with these Conditions of Entry or if, in its reasonable opinion, an entrant tampers or interferes with an entry mechanism in any way.
  5. If the Raffle cannot run for reasons beyond the GFC’s control (for example, infection by computer virus, mobile network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, or technical failures), the GFC reserve the right to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Raffle (subject to regulatory approval).  If that happens, the GFC will endeavour to notify and provide entrants with the option of having payment refunded or donated to the GFC. If the GFC suspends or modifies the Raffle, the GFC reserves the right to determine how the suspended or modified Raffle proceeds and prizes are awarded (again, subject to regulatory approval).

How winners are chosen and notified

  1. All tickets that have been paid for during the Entry Period will be entered into the Draw, with the exception of any entry, which the GFC deems to be ineligible, incomplete or illegible.  Tickets not paid for will not be included in the Draw.  The GFC is not liable to any entrant if their ticket is not included in the Draw for any reason under this paragraph.
  2. Draw Details are set out in the Schedule.  Winners will be notified, and their names published, in accordance with the Schedule.  

Prizes & Winners

  1. Information and details about Prize(s) are set out in the Schedule.  Prize values are accurate as at the commencement date for the Raffle. All costs, fees, charges or expenses associated with the Prize(s), which are not specified in the Schedule, are the responsibility of the winner(s).
  2. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.  If for any reason a prize is not available, the GFC will substitute it for another prize of equal or higher value (in its discretion), subject to regulatory approval.
  3. All claimed prizes (other than Major Prize A) will be distributed to winners within 28 days of the draw.  Major Prize A will be delivered within 90 days of the draw. 
  4. The GFC reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency and proof of Entry validity in order to claim a prize.  Proof of identity, residency or Entry validity considered suitable for verification is at the GFC’s discretion. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute or compensation will be offered.
  5. If a prize winner does not redeem any element of a prize then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that prize or any part of it.
  6. If (having made reasonable efforts) a prize winner cannot be contacted, or if a prize winner is deemed ineligible to receive the prize, or if any prize is not accepted or claimed by the Prize Claim Date, the GFC reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell the prize.  Proceeds from such sale will be paid to the GFC to be used for its not-for-profit purposes.
  7. If you are a Winner, you are responsible for your use of the Prize, including complying with all relevant laws and any applicable terms and conditions of use.  The GFC and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage to or delay in transit of prizes.

Publicity Materials

  1. GFC will publish the winners’ names and state or territory of residence, as specified in the Schedule.  The winners’ express consent will be sought in relation to any promotional activity regarding the outcome of the Raffle.  


  1. The GFC and its agencies and representatives associated with this Raffle will not be liable for any loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained (including without limitation to that caused by any person’s negligence) relating to this Raffle or the awarding or taking of the prizes except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case liability is limited to the minimum amount allowable by law).
  2. The GFC accepts no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or for any late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise. The GFC is not liable for any consequences of user error including any costs incurred. 

Australian Consumer Law

  1. A winner has rights under the Australian Consumer Law and other similar legislation, which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by the GFC. These rights include a statutory guarantee that any services provided by the GFC will be rendered with due care and skill and that any goods will be of acceptable quality. These Conditions of Entry do not exclude, restrict or modify those statutory rights in any way. However, to the extent it is permitted by law to do so, the GFC makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, other than the Australian Consumer Law, regarding the quality and suitability of the prize awarded under these Conditions of Entry and will not be responsible for breach of any such implied terms. 


  1. Entrants release Facebook and its associated companies from all liability arising in respect of the Raffle and acknowledge that: (a) the Raffle is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook; (b) any information provided by the entrant in connection with the Raffle is provided to the GFC and not to Facebook; and (c) any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Raffle will be directed to the GFC, not to Facebook.
